Born and raised in Southern California, now residing in the Bay Area, I am a second-generation Armenian immigrant, queer, gender-affirming, and sex-positive therapist who supports the adult children of immigrants and the LGBTQ+ community.
With 4 years of experience in community mental health and private practice, I have worked with clients seeking aid with a variety of issues such as body image, identity, culture, communication issues, grief, depression, anxiety, and trauma.
I bring in both lived and trained experience to facilitate a compassionate, safe, trauma-informed space of healing. My goal is to support and empower you starting with meeting you where you are to create a life that is authentic to you and your values.
Therapy is a space in which we can work collaboratively to explore those deeper spaces while also considering the systemic issues that may contribute to your pain. It can be difficult navigating culture, in, and finding a balance between the two. This can be so draining and express itself as anxiety, depression, and avoidance. You don’t have to do this alone!
I believe that each person shows up to therapy with their own unique needs and that therapy looks different for each person. I take an integrative approach in order to better facilitate your needs. We may use CBT to look at how your thoughts affect your emotions, then use some Parts Work to get to know these emotions better and recognize what role they play in your experience.
